The Woodbury School | Salem, NH | LBA

As the final project in Salem, NH's initiative to bring their school district up to 21st century standards, Lavallee Brensiger Architects was hired and tasked with evaluating the existing middle school, The Woodbury School. Following analysis on existing structural, mechanical, plumbing, envelope, and design conditions, it was determined that The Woodbury School would undergo an extensive phased renovation to provide a safe and secure 21st century middle school. The design solution maintained the original Woodbury School, built in 1925 and was designed to reflect a similar character and maintain proportions.

My role in this project involved modeling the existing building in Revit using point cloud documentation, site walk through evaluation and documentation, determining the existing program space, modeling the conceptual proposed floor plans, and attending construction committee meetings and providing meeting minutes. Most of the graphics seen were completed by others at Lavallee Brensinger.

The Wooodbury School passed Bond vote in March of 2020.
