Lavallee Brensinger Architects was tasked with developing a master plan and assisting The Park Danforth in rebranding to attract vibrant, active, and independent seniors to their Portland, ME location. The five story, 100,000 SF new addition plus renovation provided an opportunity for a Main Street with food, health, and lifestyle amenities, expand administrative offices, provide 58 new independent living apartments and create unique outdoor connections.

My role in this project started during the master planning. As a project technician, I assisted in the development of the study, modeling the existing conditions from drawings and field measurements, producing project documents from Schematic Design through Construction Documents including coordination with the interior designer, the design of the independent unit kitchens, exterior wall sections and exterior detailing and enevelope coordination, and assisting in Construction Administration, including biweekly site visits and field reports, submittal review, and punch listing.
