Lavallee Brensinger Architects created a design for a behavioral health unit that would help St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center maintain their patient centered care. This new unit sought to provide a welcoming therapeutic environment with imagery and texture familiar to Maine. Patients are provided more privacy with 11 single rooms and additional space for staff privacy was created as well while maintaining safety for staff and patients.

My role in this project was during Design Development and Construction Documents as a Project Technician. I assisted in the floor plan layout, making sure ADA and safety standards were met, MEP coordination, interiors coordination,  general CD development, and rendering and video production. A virtual walkthrough, developed through Enscape, provided the facility an opportunity share the experience of the renovated unit for fund-raising purposes.
