Kingston Hall, Southern New Hampshire University | Manchester, NH | LBA

Lavallee Brensinger Architects worked in collaboration on Kingston hall, a New Dormitory building providing bed space for 382 students. Each floor contains shared pod space for groups of rooms including lounges, study areas, and shared gender free restrooms. Along with the dormitory programming, the building includes a classroom space, public kitchen, multi-purpose area with a fireplace, and gaming area, all of which can be closed off from the rest of the building. The center “knuckle” connects the two wings and provides study and social space on each floor. Through energy efficient design, Kingston hall is seeking LEED certification.

The project received an Excellence in Architecture Merit Award from the NH AIA in 2019

My role in this project started during Design Development and went through Construction Administration as a Project Technician. My primary focus was development of the exterior plan details, along with restroom design and coordination, and other documentation as needed. During construction, I did biweekly site visits documented through field reports and punch listed the interior spaces as wings were completed.
