The patio was a project completed with the Louisiana Office of State Buildings. The project was collaborated on with then governor Kathleen Babineaux– Blanco and was her parting gift to the mansion. The design focuses on a centralized fleur– de-lis which includes the names of the governor’s family and the state seal.
